CIVIC is the preeminent leadership convener in the Hampton Roads region, with over 1,100 alumni who went through their program the last 25 years since its founding. CIVIC brings together executive and student leaders across several sectors, backgrounds, and interests to learn about regional opportunities and challenges, and empowers them to be active collaborators, working to advance the area and improve its quality of life.

CIVIC Leadership Institute desired to remain impactful as one of the region’s most notable and longest standing leadership programs. The organization was at an opportunity point to analyze and realign internal processes and initiatives to better serve the evolving needs of the community, and to explore how to more strategically activate their network of 1,000+ students and executives. By enhancing their effectiveness and empowering leaders to actively contribute to the improvement of Hampton Roads, CIVIC was in prime position to become even more of an influence to the future of this community.

Data Analysis & Strategic Recommendations: Analyzed effectiveness of programming, initiatives, and internal processes using both quantitative and qualitative data, and gave strategic recommendations for remodeling and realigning them to organizational mission.
Special Projects Management: Focused on development and execution of internal and external special projects, including the creation of an alumni database, alumni projects, and a regional DEI resource platform with various community partners.
Cross-Generational Collaborations: Convened executive and student leaders across sectors, backgrounds, and interests and empowered them to be active collaborators, working to advance the area, address regional challenges, and improve the overall quality of life.
